Grennan & Sperandio, Emblems

International artist duo Grennan & Sperandio have created six permanent artworks for the Waddington Heritage Trail.

Titled Emblems, they are situated on buildings along the Waddington Heritage Trail, and as with emblems each of the sculptures refers to something that is know but unseen. The work was inspired by stories and drawings that came out of workshops with the local community in the summer of 2017 and research into the village’s history by project historian Dave Reeves.

The artworks were commissioned by Waddington Parish council working in partnership with artsNK, as part of the Ridges & Furrows Arts & Heritage trail project.
