Arts & Heritage

As part of the Ridges & Furrows project we have worked with communities in some of the towns and villages along the Lincolnshire Edge, to explore their heritage and celebrate what makes each location distinct.

The project started in 2015 with initial artist residencies in North Hykeham, Waddington, Welbourn and Sleaford.

In 2016-17 we have further explored the heritage of North Hykeham, Welbourn and Waddington, delivering a range of activities that culminated in three large scale community festivals; the Welbourn Horkey, the North Hykeham Winter Haecca and the Waddington Celebration – Portraits & Places.

We are still working in the village of Waddington with artist duo Christopher Sperandio and Simon Grennan, who will be creating permanent artworks for the village.

Follow the links on the right to discover more about each of the locations, including historical information, oral reminiscence from people who live there, and the artworks that have been created for the project.
